The Dornbracht Installation Projects started in 1999 as a partnership with Udo Kittelmann and the Kölnischer Kunstverein (Cologne Art Association) and will now be continued with the New National Gallery in Berlin.
The objective of the public-private partnership is to initiate and finance new productions by selected artists. The resulting installations are always only temporarily on view in one of the exhibition rooms in the museum.
Michel Majerus, Anna Gaskell, Martin Boyce, Rudolf Stingel, Anton Henning and Thomas Bayrle belong to the artists that have previously exhibited their work.
