Welcome to the Frankfurt Salon.

Within the context of Dornbracht Installation Projects, the painter Anton Henning transformed the large hall of the MMK (Museum of Modern Art) in Frankfurt into an elegant communication and reading room. The installation titled "Frankfurter Salon" created the atmospheric context for Henning's paintings. The artist subversively plays a serious game with irony: the inventory changed explosively from one painting reference system to the next. Landscape images, still lives, pin-up girls and beach scenes arranged themselves into a passionate dance of images. As with almost no other contemporary, Henning's visual thinking attests to the up-to-datedness of painting.
