What inspires your vision? – Dornbracht presents a new design series at Milan Design Week and brings the creative process to life (English only)

From the initial creative impulse to the visionary product: at Milan Design Week from 21 to 26 April, fittings manufacturer Dornbracht will bring the process from inspiration to vision to life. The highlight of the presentation in the showroom in the heart of Brera will be the unveiling of a new design series for the bathroom.

How inspiration becomes vision
In the two-storey showroom, the emergence of a creative vision is staged as a sensual, tangible experience. With the question “What inspires your vision?”, Dornbracht opens a dialogue about what stimulates your own imagination. This creates an inspiring space for exchange between visitors, architects, designers, and the Dornbracht team. In this way, the manufacturer underlines its brand claim “Inspiring your vision” and makes it tangible on site.

Interactive cloud installation
The visual highlight on the upper floor is an interactive cloud installation. Clouds, which can be found throughout the entire showroom, serve as a powerful symbol for the creative process: they constantly change shape, continually reconnect, and remain in constant motion. Because everyone sees something different in cloud formations, they stand for the subjective dimension of creativity. Boundless and light, they embody exactly what inspiration needs: the freedom to let thoughts and ideas flow openly.

Experience the new design series
In the basement, Dornbracht’s latest vision finally becomes reality: the company presents its new series of bathroom fittings, designed by Sieger Design, amid an abstract, aesthetically staged living scenario. The new design is presented here in all its facets. The focus is on the diverse customisation options that the series offers in terms of material, finish, and form.

On selected days, the setting takes on an additional creative dimension: Argentine design brand Konqrit, known for its art-intervened concrete bathroom pieces, joins forces with artist Catalina Ruiz to demonstrate how precision craftsmanship gives rise to unique washbasins. Individual design pieces are created live and on-site using hand-painted floral interventions – complemented by matching inlays for the new design series, illustrating the possibilities offered by Dornbracht Atelier.

Voices from art, design, and architecture
On Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 6pm, the showroom is transformed into a lively discussion forum. In the “Meet the Artists” format, two exciting voices from the worlds of art, design, and architecture come together to explore what fuels their creative energy. During these talks, the guests answer the key question “What inspires your vision?”, share their personal ways of thinking, and provide insights into their everyday work. On Tuesday, Cecilia Garcia Galofre, founder and designer of Konqrit, and Ed Ng, co-founder and principal of AB Concept, will be guests of the evening. On Thursday, they will be followed by Fabian Freytag, architect and owner of Fabian Freytag Studio, and Roelfien Vos, owner and creative director of Roelfien Vos Exclusive Design – all of whom are collaboration partners of Dornbracht. Deliberately designed to be open, the conversations invite discussion and leave room for dialogue with the audience.
