Perfectly shaped, elegant profile: the Santosha is a real highlight for fans of upmarket yacht design. As artistic as it is innovative, the 57-metre aluminium class from Heesen Yachts impresses with a uniquely curved stern section, elegant overhangs, and gently sloping superstructure. CYO from Dornbracht shines in the opulent bathrooms.
Elegant and powerful
Visually alone, she stands out clearly from comparable superyachts: The unusual, concave stern gives the Santosha her original, unconventional aesthetic. In addition, the design by constructor and designer Frank Laupman is as elegant as it is powerful. The yacht has a lightweight aluminium hull specially designed for efficiency. Two engines guarantee a top speed of 22 knots and a range of 3,900 nautical miles. Thanks to her shallow draught, she can navigate flat waters with ease, allowing extensive cruising both close to the coast and on the open sea.
Sun deck with jacuzzi
The spacious 100 square metre sun deck offers the best views of the endless blue sky and ocean. A bar and a large dining table are located under a hardtop, while soft cushions and a jacuzzi invite you to relax. Below this, the aft terrace of the bridge deck has a sumptuous wooden round table for socialising. The Club Lounge on the lower deck also proves to be the perfect spot for enjoying sunsets together. From here, two staircases lead down to the bathing platform. Directly connected to this is the fitness studio, which is open to the outside and offers exclusive workouts with a sea view.
Open-plan interiors
The interiors of the Santosha are just as open and light: Dark woods meet fine leather, shimmering metal elements meet cream-coloured carpets. The interior, designed by British studio Harrison Eidsgaard, radiates both modernity and warmth. The main salon with its customised furniture and deep blue sofas acts as a social hub, while the high windows and wide glass doors gently blur the boundaries between inside and outside. The suites and cabins in the belly of the yacht, on the other hand, impress with their bright, minimalist décor and soft carpets, skilfully accentuated by carefully selected works of art and contemporary photographs.
Opulent bathrooms
One of the most impressive rooms in the Santosha is the main bathroom, which was designed as a reference to the biblical Garden of Eden. A white marble panel, worked in relief by the London artists of DKT Studio, lends the bathroom architecture an artistic character. Amidst birds of paradise, ferns and trumpet flowers, the snake is particularly eye-catching – a symbol that has great personal significance for the ship's owners. The washbasin is fitted with CYO in Chrome: The striking designer fitting from Dornbracht creates a subtle contrast to the classic look of the bathroom. CYO can also be found in the guest bathrooms: With its characteristically curved round shape, it contributes to the maritime ambience in its very own way.
