Dornbracht initiates a global social media appeal: #createanewbalance
Dornbracht, Vaia, Collaboration, Neri&Hu, Rafael de Cardenas, #createanewbalance
The essentials at a glance: The news: Dornbracht initiates a social media appeal on the subject of transitional style
The subject: Hashtag #createanewbalance
The special feature: Building on the cooperation with Rafael de Cárdenas and Neri&Hu,
Dornbracht is calling for a cross-platform debate on the transitional style interior design trend
Iserlohn, July 2017
“Create a new balance – between traditional elegance and contemporary cool”. This is the premise under which Dornbracht will from now on be inviting creative individuals throughout the world to share their personal view of the transitional style interior design trend. Building on the collaboration with architects Rafael de Cárdenas and Neri&Hu in the context of the new Vaia series of fittings, Dornbracht wants to continue the exchange of views across the disciplines. Using the hashtag #createanewbalance, Dornbracht is calling for individual interpretations of transitional style. This is to get a look at the trend in a way that is as holistic as it is progressive.

What is transitional style?
Transitional style describes a mix of traditional and contemporary elements. Notable for its experimental use of materials, textures, forms and colours, it epitomises a world of style that combines the new and the established and brings the different influences of interior design into balance.

#createanewbalance
Bring new impulse, provide inspiration and encourage the exchange of views between disciplines:
This is the aim of the social media appeal, which sends out an invitation not only to creative individuals from all disciplines – such as architects, interior designers, designers and planners – but also to interested end users. Using the hashtag #createanewbalance, Dornbracht is calling for a discussion of transitional style – in as many ways as possible: be it with moodboards, sketches or renderings, new designs or already existing work. Statements about transitional style are also welcome, to throw light on the subject from a variety of different perspectives.

In this way, Dornbracht is initiating a cross-platform debate. Contributions can be posted on all social media platforms. They should be hashtagged #createanewbalance and include the account tags @dornbracht (Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest) or @dornbracht_official (Instagram). Starting in mid-July, Dornbracht will be sharing selected contributions on the social media channels Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and Pinterest.

Background: Rafael de Cárdenas and Neri&Hu developed an inspirational environment for Vaia
At the heart of the #createanewbalance campaign is the collaboration with the architects Rafael de Cárdenas (New York) and Lyndon Neri and Rossana Hu of Neri&Hu (Shanghai).

For the new premium designer fitting Vaia, which – in keeping with transitional style – features a classically elegant yet progressive design, they developed moodboards, material collages and bathroom architecture designs in which traditional and contemporary elements are combined in an innovative way.

Supplementary material collages were also created in collaboration with Mike Meiré, Creative Director for Dornbracht. Along with the architects’ designs, these formed the basis of the real bathroom architectures developed by Meiré und Meiré, of which put the spotlight photographically on Vaia.

The bathroom environments produced in this way are the starting point and simultaneously the inspiration for the contributions that will arrive using the hashtag #createanewbalance: individual interpretations of transitional style, which was also the inspiration for Vaia and its soft, balanced design language.

Dornbracht provides insights into the collaboration with Rafael de Cárdenas and Neri&Hu on its own media channels:

25 years of Tara: Dornbracht adds the exquisite cyprum finish to the series
Dornbracht, Tara, 25 years, anniversary, icon, Cyprum fitting, finishes
The essentials at a glance: The new product: Dornbracht is giving the iconic design of the Tara fitting an exquisite cyprum finish to celebrate the twenty-fifth anniversary of the series
Product concept and design: Sieger Design
Creative direction: Mike Meiré
Iserlohn, May 2017
25 years ago, it revolutionised design in the bathroom and is now regarded as an icon of modern bathroom design. Since its launch in 1992, Dornbracht’s Tara has become a much-copied and multiple award-winning design classic. To mark Tara’s anniversary this year, Dornbracht is launching the fittings series in the exquisite cyprum finish.

Hardly any other fitting has made such a radical and lasting impression on bathroom design as Tara. With its minimalist design, characteristic cross-handles and slender, semi-circular spout, it was nothing like the trend at the start of the nineties. But despite – or actually because – of its progressive design language, it did not take Tara long to became a design icon. A mere ten years after its market launch, a book dedicated to its success story was published: “Tara. Homage to a Bathroom Fitting and an Archetype”.

And Dornbracht has consistently updated this story ever since. In 2008, the Tara design was subtly revised – fully in keeping with the guiding principle of “you don’t change a classic, you refine it”. A reduction in the diameter of the handles and rosettes and minimal lengthening of the body of the fitting have now given Tara a more slender, more upright and more delicate look. The contours of all Tara fittings have been sharpened overall, to make the perfect geometry and symmetry of the clear design language even more apparent.

“Tara is the perfect embodiment of the Dornbracht design principles of Proportion, Precision, Progressiveness, Personality and Performance”, says Managing Partner Andreas Dornbracht. These so-called 5 Ps form the basis of a lasting aesthetic quality that is guided not by prevailing taste, but by universal design principles. “Although launched 25 years ago, Tara has lost nothing of its contemporary relevance and it is still the epitome of avant-garde in the bathroom.”

The distinguishing features of a classic such as Tara are its universality and the fact that it is equally at home in many different contexts. Both the clear design language and the great variety of finishes play a part in this. As with all the Dornbracht series, numerous variants are available: from chrome, platinum and champagne, to brass and gold, in different matt and polished versions. It is this great variety that allows Tara to match the tone of a bathroom architecture, or even create a distinctive contrast. Whether classic or progressive – it always looks relevant and contemporary. Tara opens up numerous options for personalising bathroom design and also provides a response to the megatrend of individualisation.
Tara in cyprum is further proof of the versatility of Dornbracht’s iconic fittings series. The sheen of the rose-gold finish of 18-carat gold and copper is particularly fine, and radiates warmth and elegance.

Tara is available in numerous versions for basin, bath, shower and bidet, and also as a kitchen fitting. All variants are available with levers, as well as the classic cross-handles. A perfectly matched range of accessories rounds off the series.

most-copied fittings in the world – but it is the fine distinctions that make the original so distinctive: its
harmoniously balanced proportions, its precise workmanship that is accurate in every detail and the
perfection of its technology and function. Here to be seen in the exquisite cyprum finish.

Dornbracht Touchfree: convenient water control without a visible sensor for maximum design variety
Touchfree, Dornbracht, Design, invisible, fitting, Hotel
The essentials at a glance: The new product: Dornbracht Touchfree
The special feature: Maximum creative freedom thanks to an invisible sensor; can be combined with all the Dornbracht design series; available for all basin fittings fittings (wall-mounted and free-standing)
Available for delivery: 4th quarter of 2017
Iserlohn, March 2017
Touchfree extends Dornbracht’s product portfolio for all basin fittings (wall-mounted and free-standing models) by adding a new contact-free control. Based on active motion detection, Dornbracht Touchfree operates without a visible sensor on the fitting, and can be combined with all the Dornbracht series. Developed specifically for the semi-public sector, this contact-free and automatic control is not only ultra-convenient, it also enables architects, interior designers and planners to have maximum creative freedom in their schemes.

Touchfree applications will become increasingly relevant anywhere that a great number of visitors are expected – this includes semi-public washroom facilities in hotels, offices and restaurants, as well as airport lounges. Whereas previously, the basin fittings in these sites have mostly made use of infrared sensors, Dornbracht’s Touchfree will bring the advantages of high-frequency technology to these areas for the first time. The added value: Touchfree has a sensor that is entirely invisible on the fitting and can – just like a motion detector – be attuned to different ranges. The reliable and convenient Touchfree sensor automatically switches the water on, as well as off again, as soon as the individual leaves the washplace.

Combinations can be varied for maximum creative freedom
The technology behind Dornbracht Touchfree is the Touchfree eSet, which can be combined with every Dornbracht design series. The eSet is available as a surface-mounted solution for basins with a free-standing spout and as a concealed solution for wall-mounted spouts – and either with or without temperature adjustments in each case. It is easily installed below the basin – where it is invisible to the user. So Dornbracht’s Touchfree is not only a hygienic and durable solution for high-quality, semi-public washroom facilities, it also gives architects, interior designers and planners the greatest possible freedom for their design schemes.

Individually adaptable
Dornbracht Touchfree can be adjusted in many ways, just like its detection sensor technology. The Touchfree sensor learns automatically from the first time it is put into operation, but its sensitivity can be adjusted at any time to meet individual requirements. Thermal disinfection and water temperature levels can also be set according to need. Dornbracht Touchfree also has an adjustable run-on time, making it particularly resource-efficient. This effect is even more pronounced when used in combination with water-saving fittings (such as the Dornbracht CL.1).

„Public Intimacy“ revisited: Dornbracht fördert Kunstprojekt von Shawn Maximo im Rahmen der 9. Berlin Biennale für zeitgenössische Kunst
Dornbracht, Berlin Biennale, 2016, Shawn Maximo
The essentials at a glance: The topic: Dornbracht sponsors a project by the artist Shawn Maximo at the 9th Berlin Biennale for Contemporary Art
The project: A toilet room setting staged at KW Institute for Contemporary Art in Berlin
The special feature: The private sphere becomes a public information centre
Timeframe: 9th Berlin Biennale (4 June - 18 September 2016)
Iserlohn, June 2016
At the 9th Berlin Biennale in Summer 2016, premium fittings manufacturer Dornbracht is sponsoring a work of the artist and architect Shawn Maximo. He is constructing a unisex toilet room on the premises of KW Institute for Contemporary Art that blurs the boundaries between the private and the public sphere.

Shawn Maximo constructs the intimate place as an information centre, as a hybrid between an interior and exterior environment, a private and public zone. Instead of undisturbed privacy, the law of participation and information distribution prevails here. The bathroom is wrested from the protocols of private relief and perfunctory action to explore a more networked and casual experience. Large-format photographs of hyperreal worlds on the walls and ceiling suggest the opening-up of the space, while a large digital tablet connects with the outside world to present Berlin Biennale content. Instead of a conventional toilet, there is a squat toilet that Shawn Maximo has placed in the centre of the space to activate ‘the hub’.

The theme of conflict between intimacy and the public sphere presented here has long been a preoccupation of the fittings manufacturer Dornbracht, in its Culture Projects. It was, for example, the subject of the Dornbracht-sponsored exhibition "One on One", on view at KW in Berlin in 2012. Visitors to this exhibition were given a rather special kind of art experience. Individual, self-contained spaces were set up with works of art specifically conceived for the exhibition and only one visitor at a time was allowed in. An intimate and confrontational encounter with the work of art, instead of the collective and public perception. Following up on this, the fourth edition of Dornbracht Conversations entitled "Public Intimacy" expounded on the loss and re-positioning of privacy.

Finally, this theme was taken up by the installation The Island (KEN), which DIS, the New York artist collective – and the curatorial team of this year's Berlin Biennale – produced in collaboration with Dornbracht and Mike Meiré as co-designers. A hybrid product that interconnects the usually separate environments of the (social) kitchen and the (private) bathroom, thus challenging the learned patterns of logic and application. The Island (KEN) was seen for the first time in 2015, at the Triennale in the New Museum in New York, and then in the Musée d’Art Moderne in Paris as part of the "CO-WORKERS – Network as Artist" exhibition.

Dornbracht's sponsorship of the Shawn Maximo project allows the company to take another look at this issue. This view of the relationship between the public and the private sphere takes particular note of the increase in digitalisation – an aspect that is especially relevant for Dornbracht. As a pioneer in the industry, the company is decisively promoting digitalisation in the kitchen and bathroom environments. Dornbracht's many years of debate and discussion with art and culture constantly provide new impetus. The company has been sponsoring selected exhibitions and culture projects since 1996. Its continuous exchange of ideas with independent artists, musicians, architects and designers, has given the company an innovative view of the bathroom and kitchen environments, and decisively shaped the idea of a bathroom culture – an aspiration that also finds expression in the current brand claim "Culturing Life".

About Shawn Maximo
The forms of expression used by artist and architect Shawn Maximo range from sculpture, to digital media and design. His works have been published in the New York Times, Zeit Magazin, the architecture magazine "PIN-UP", and Interview Magazine, and have been on view at various exhibitions – including in the Portland Institute for Contemporary Art, Swiss Institute, MoMA PS1, and the Perez Art Museum in Miami.

Cosmopolitan: Luxury apartments in Warsaw
Dornbracht, Reference, Cosmopolitan, Warschau, IMO
The essentials at a glance: Project: Cosmopolitan
Type of project: Luxury apartment buildings
Location: Warsaw (Poland)
Architect: Helmut Jahn, Murphy/Jahn
Interior Design: de novo – Magdalena Dusínska and Magda Jeziorowska
Investor: Tacit Development
Rooms: 236 apartments
Dornbracht products: IMO
Opening: June 2014

Iserlohn/Warsaw, April 2016
At 44 storeys and 160 metres high, the Cosmopolitan luxury apartment skyscraper is the second-tallest building in Warsaw. The internationally renowned architect Helmut Jahn is responsible for the imposing building, the first project he has accomplished in Poland. Timeless design and lasting quality were prevalent in every detail of the furnishing of all 236 luxury apartments (each 52–500 square metres in size), a total which also includes four penthouses. With this in mind, Dornbracht's versatile IMO designer fitting seemed an obvious choice.

Situated right in the centre of Warsaw, the Cosmopolitan is directly between Emilia Plater Street and Twarda Street, the two main traffic arteries of the city. With floor-to-ceiling windows in every room in the tower, unique views can be enjoyed over the city in every direction, including the Palace of Culture and Science and the business district, the Saxon Garden and the Old Town. The bay windows projecting beyond the surface of the building are a special architectural feature, creating an exceptionally wide panoramic view. There are shops and restaurants on the lower floors of the Cosmopolitan, a great attraction for residents and tourists alike.

Living in style in Warsaw
The interior design of the apartments was the brainchild of the Warsaw de novo design studio of Magdalena Dusínska and Magda Jeziorowska. Quality was also a priority in the timeless and modern design of the furnishings. Only the best brands were good enough to provide the materials for everything from furniture to electronics. Intelligent home automation control by means of smartphone or tablet makes these luxury apartments even more special.

Individual bathroom design with Dornbracht IMO
The Italian marble on the walls and floors creates an ambience of pure luxury and bears witness to exceptional quality. This is also evident in the choice of fittings and shower sets; here the interior designers decided to use Dornbracht IMO. Thanks to its modern design and universal design language that combines a round body with a right-angled lever and spout, the series fits harmoniously into every bathroom. As its name suggests, IMO (short for "In My Opinion") places the emphasis firmly on the individual user's view of life. It is as if the series were made for the Cosmopolitan, which is home to the various inhabitants of the multi-cultural city of Warsaw. The IMO single-lever basin mixer and the matching complete shower set in brightly polished chrome were used for the bathrooms; the full product programme for the series has many different variants for washbasin, shower, bath and bidet.

IMO is available in polished chrome and platinum matt versions. Their characteristic shine and exceptional depth of colour are proof of outstanding product quality. Like all Dornbracht fittings, 100% of IMO is produced in Germany. The manufacturer of premium fittings is thus able to maintain a consistently high standard and precise manufacturing quality, Made in Germany.

From bathroom to private spa: Individual water applications for a personal health strategy
Dornbracht Private Spa
The essentials at a glance:

The subject: Transforming Water, Smart Water & Water Modules

The vision: The bathroom becomes a private spa / preventive health care and the promotion of good health in the comfort of your own home

Product concept and design: Sieger Design

         Creative direction: Mike Meiré

Iserlohn, April 2016

Sanus per Aquam (SPA) – health through water. With Dornbracht's specialised products and technologies, the user does not have to be in an exclusive spa to experience the effectiveness of water; it is possible to do so at home. Revitalising Kneipp applications with an affusion pipe, and beneficial foot baths with exceptional shower experiences created by special water choreographies can be called up at the touch of a button. The different products and applications can be arranged in accordance with individual needs.

In a modern society, where the demands on individuals are steadily increasing, health has become one of the most important human commodities. As a gauge of personal capability, good health it is increasingly defining both physical and spiritual well being, and permeates every area of life. For many people, it is not just participating in sporting activity and following a healthy diet it also includes the use of accessories and apps for self-optimisation – whether an activity tracker, a smartwatch or a fitness band. The bathroom also has an important role to play in this framework. A favourite place of retreat, it has become a personal 'private spa', where attention focuses on the individual and their needs: recharging the batteries, reducing stress and recovering.

Water works positively, and this is deliberately used and experienced in a variety of different ways. Affusions, washing, baths and foot baths are all beneficial to the organism and calm, relax or stimulate, according to the type of application. Hydrotherapy is a crucial component of Kneipp's tried and tested health philosophy, which was added to the nationwide inventory of intangible cultural heritage by the German Commission for UNESCO in 2015.

Dornbracht's affusion pipe is a simple, yet all the more effective enhancement of the private bathroom that allows the user to carry out Kneipp affusions in the comfort of their home – at the washbasin or in the shower.

A valuable addition to the fitting, it makes life more convenient when you want to carry out invigorating arm or facial affusions at the basin, or a thigh affusion in the shower, for instance. Used correctly, they encourage blood flow and stimulate the circulation, metabolism and nervous system. The facial affusion is also called the beauty affusion in Kneipp therapy. It is a very gentle and refreshing application to pleasantly stimulate blood flow and firm up facial skin.

Jochen Reisberger is the head of physiotherapy at the Kneippianum in Bad Wörishofen, the leading Kneipp Centre in Germany, and he explains the correct way to carry out Kneipp affusions in a series of videos produced in collaboration with Dornbracht and available at: www.dornbracht.com/kneipp.

Contrast bathing and stimulation of the reflex zones on the feet with the Dornbracht Foot Bath.

The Dornbracht Foot Bath is a private spa unit with scenario capability that makes it easy to integrate the luxury of a beneficial foot bath into everyday life. The Relax scenario heats the water to dissolve tension in the muscles and calm the circulation, whereas Vitalize invigorates the body and the mind. Energetic changes in temperature stimulate the reflex zones, while the increasing intensity of the jets activates the nervous system. In addition to the scenarios, there are two pre-set comfort functions that allow the water to pour in easily and safely until it reaches ankle or calf height.

Deep relaxation with the Comfort Shower

Dornbracht's innovative Comfort Shower application adds a unique, seated water experience to enhance your private spa. Different outlets and flow modes form beneficial scenarios at the touch of a button, while the seated posture ensures deep relaxation. With everything operated from the central control element, eTool. The user can enjoy this exceptional water experience lying on their stomach or back on a heated reclining area.

Like taking a shower in the open air – Sensory Sky

Dornbracht Sensory Sky turns taking a shower into a unique experience that touches all the senses. Different rain modes, mist, light and fragrances complement one another in complex choreographies that are inspired by weather phenomena and the moods of nature. The extensive, flat rain panel has separate nozzle arrays for the overhead spray, body spray and rain curtain, as well as a cold water mist nozzle and light and fragrance functions. In addition to the three Readjust, Rejoice and Release scenarios, the sprays, nozzles, light and fragrances can also be activated separately and independently for an individual shower experience. Whether a programmed or personal choreography, you can experience water in different dimension with Sensory Sky.

Refresh yourself and warm up with the hot & cold Water Dispenser

Dornbracht's Water Dispenser dispenses filtered hot or cold water as required in a matter of seconds, satisfying the requirement for your private spa to have its own source of drinking water – ideal for occasional refreshment, or a convenient way to prepare tea. It is extremely easy to use. Move the lever backwards for cold water. Move the lever forwards for hot water.

The "Premium Solutions for Interior Architecture" brand claim is both aspirational and inspirational for the corporate group – it is a visionary claim that demonstrates the quality and innovative force of the group.

"Accentuate your bathroom": The new Lissé series of fittings from Dornbracht
Dornbracht Lisse Novelty 2016
The essentials at a glance:

The new product: the Lissé series of bathroom fittings
The special feature: a premium designer fitting in the entry-level price segment / a characteristic lever design
Product concept and design: Sieger Design
Creative direction: Mike Meiré
Available for delivery: July 2016

Iserlohn, March/April 2016
Dornbracht's new Lissé series is a premium designer fitting in the entry price level segment that is geared to a quality-conscious as well as budget-conscious target group. Lissé has an aesthetic quality that sets the tone in the bathroom – an open invitation to simply and easily enhance the interior design and treat yourself to something special: a "genuine Dornbracht".

The design – a hybrid design language

The appealing design language of Lissé is full of exciting contrasts: basic, clear-cut, geometric shapes and precise radii encounter curving contours and generous surfaces meet narrow edges. The lever of the fitting tilts upward and tapers, contrasting playfully with its basic, rigidly cylindrical body and flat spout. The black cover below the lever combines with the polished chrome fitting to set a different emphasis.

Extremely easy to use

The special operating mechanism is extremely easy to use and has a smooth, flowing lever movement that underlines the ornamental design language of the series. This is also reflected in the name of the fitting. The name Lissé (from the French "lissé" for "smoothed") firstly refers to the smooth operation of the lever, and secondly captures the L-shape of the body of the fitting. The acute accent (´) on the é invokes the characteristic upward tilt of the lever design.

Lissé – the product range

The Lissé series of fittings is available in polished chrome and platinum matt versions and includes around 25 products for basin, bidet, shower and bath applications. The single-lever mixer for the basin has an unusual and distinctive feature - it is available in a special, water-saving variant as an option. 21 fine, individual jets reduce the standard flow rate of 5.3 litres to 3.8 litres per minute.

A "genuine Dornbracht"

Lissé is an addition to the brand portfolio in the entry-level price segment and at the same time, has all the advantages of a "genuine Dornbracht". Like all the fittings from this premium manufacturer, Lissé typifies perfect workmanship and quality "Made in Germany". Its design language is based on the five design principles that characterise the entire Dornbracht product portfolio: proportion, precision, progressiveness, personality and performance. These form the basis of a lasting aesthetic quality, guided not by prevailing taste, but by universal design principles such as the golden mean.

Supernova: Dornbracht extends the range and enhances the series
Dornbracht, Supernova, single-lever basin mixer, program extension, SHK 2016
Important points in brief

The new product: a new single-lever basin mixer is added to the Supernova series
The special feature: a refined design language and a lever at the side for easier operation
Product concept and design: Sieger Design
Creative direction: Mike Meiré
Available for delivery: April 2016

By introducing a new single-lever basin mixer, Dornbracht is extending and enhancing the successful
Supernova series. The refined design language and an ornamental lever attached at the side
underline the sculptural elegance of the fitting.

The Supernova series was launched in 2009 and is a high-quality, sculptural fitting. Its numerous facets and polygonal surfaces are reminiscent of a precision-worked crystal, that keeps finding new ways to reflect light and the objects that surround it.

A refined design language and easier to use
The new single-lever basin mixer emphasises the striking geometry and elegance of the series. Refining the body and placing the lever at the side makes the fitting seem even more ornamental, at the same time as making it easier to use. The new single-lever mixer is available with or without a pop-up waste.

Dornbracht Supernova: the scope of the series
There are more than 60 products in total in the range offered by the Supernova series. There are single-lever mixers and three-hole fittings, as well as two cascade spouts for wall and deck mounting. An extensive selection of accessories rounds off the range. The addition to the range, like all the Supernova series, is available in polished chrome and champagne finishes.

An award-winning designer fitting
The Sieger Design creation Supernova won the "Good Design Award“ (2009) and the "iF product design award“ (2010). Its futuristic and extravagant appearance sets a rather special tone, whether in high-quality private bathrooms or in luxury hotels.

Arabian nights: The new Sheraton Grand Hotel in Dubai
Sheraton Hotel Dubai, Dornbracht, Hotel, Reference, Lulu, Deque, MEM, Symetrics, BigRaini
The essentials at a glance: Type of project: Hotel
Location: Dubai (United Arab Emirates)
Planning/development: Abdulsalam Al Rafi Group
Architecture: Erga Architects (Erga Progress Engineering Consultants)
Interior design: WA International
Rooms: 416 guest rooms, 58 suites, 180 apartments
Dornbracht products: Lulu, MEM, Deque, Symetrics, BigRain
Opening: April 2015

November 2015
Soaring skyward since April on Sheikh Zayed Road, one of the main thoroughfares of Dubai,
has been the newly opened Sheraton Grand Hotel. The imposing 54-storey hotel is in the perfect spot for reaching the aspiring business district of Dubai, as well as the most important tourist attractions of the city. Not only is it ideal for business travellers, it is also the best location for guests from all over the world who want to experience every aspect of the Arabian metropolis.

The Abdulsalam Al Rafi Group development office and Erga Architects were fellow collaborators in the creation of the new Sheraton Grand Hotel. The building is the first new Sheraton chain hotel in Dubai for 30 years and the complex boasts a spacious business centre, a rooftop pool, three restaurants and lounges, the Sheraton Club and a fitness area.

Sheraton Shine Spa
A special feature of the new hotel is the Sheraton Shine Spa on the 52nd floor. Its interior design, like that of the rest of the hotel, was the brainchild of the renowned WA International designer team: an inviting and relaxing area of 1000 square metres encompassing an indoor pool, sauna, ice fountain, steam room and generous quiet zones. To emphasize the exclusive atmosphere of the spa, the planners relied on selected design highlights in the furnishings. These include the Lulu series of fittings from Dornbracht. The linear design language fits perfectly into the puristic environment and its elegance on the washbasins is a real highlight.

Feel-good bathrooms
The importance of comfort and ambience is a principle that continues in the elegant hotel bathrooms. Luxury on a smaller scale, they are like personal micro-spas, where you can escape from the hustle and bustle of a city with more than a million inhabitants. High-quality Dornbracht products make a powerful contribution to the furnishings as well. Relax with a BigRain rain panel for that open-air shower experience, while MEM and Deque series fittings further emphasize the discerning and aesthetic overall approach. The design of these two series is both tasteful and contemporary, accentuating the clean lines of the hotel design concept. Dornbracht's modular Symetrics system also had a part to play. Planners are given a great deal of creative freedom to position the outlets and control elements to their best effect.

Accommodation with style
The bathrooms are part of a sophisticated design concept that is reflected in all the hotel's 416 rooms, 58 suites and 180 premium apartments. Not only are guests welcomed by a stylishly coordinated colour and light concept, but also by unique and spectacular views over the Dubai skyline.
