A workshop for the senses.

Mike Meiré shows an alternative to representative, reductionist pathos with  The Farm Project . The kitchen as a "making of", as a workshop for the senses. Sheep, pigs, fish and rabbits all abound in a barn-like room. An individual sink made from stainless steel becomes a sculpture, an almost casual presentation of Dornbracht fittings. Hay bales, pitch forks and a simply galvanized metal bucket make reference to both the past and the future as very suggestive emblems.
The Farm Project was first presented at the Salone del Mobile in Milan in 2006. The installation could also be seen during the "Passagen" at the imm in Cologne in 2007, on the occasion of "sculpture projects Muenster 07" and at "Design Miami".
